The Million Dollar Question and Answer ( NFL Sunday Football Comic Diary) Week 13

The Bookshop Guru

The New England Patriots face Green Bay Packers in Sunday’s live match. I fancy the Patriots to win the game. The consensus is around 63% in favour with the Patriots, even though the bookies make the Patriots the dog in this matchup. It’s Brady against Rodgers and I fancy Brady to show the rising star Rodgers how it’s done. As they say, go with the inform team. Who invented the spread, the bookies, and the way they see it, as a + or – 3.5 point game? So, that probably means the Patriots will win straight up.  Whatever happens, I will enjoy the game! New England Patriots is 5-0 SU in its last 5 games.

The Million Dollar Question and Answer ( NFL Sunday Football Comic Diary) Week 12

The Bookshop Guru

The Miami Dolphins face Denver Broncos in Sunday’s live match. I fancy the Dolphins to win the game. The consensus is around 55% in favour with the Broncos, but I favour the Dolphins as the dog to win the game. As they say, go with the inform team. Who invented the spread, the bookies, and the way they see it, as a + or – 6.5 point game? So, that probably means the + 6.5 for the Dolphins will be enough to beat the Broncos on the spread.  I also fancy going under on the total point line. Whatever happens, I will enjoy the game! Miami is 6-1 ATS in its last 7 games when playing Denver.

The Mantra of “There is always tomorrow.”

The Bookshop Guru

Many of you reading this perhaps suffers from bipolar or similar disorders, well, do not despair because “there is always tomorrow” a mantra I use on a regular basis to help deflect any suicidal thoughts. This mantra of “there is always tomorrow” I borrowed from a friend whose advice I valued and have never forgotten. I know it is not easy to deal with suicidal thoughts, but when you see the logic in this mantra and can keep it in your mind until you need to say it to yourself then you will appreciate its power.

We all do it, panic when things seem impossible to live with, but it's often the case that things are better when we have had time to think things through. Often, I slip into a low depressive mood which can last for days, weeks, and sometimes many months before I emerge from what I call the “black cloud” of my bipolar disorder, but, I try and use some of the strategies I have developed to help combat these times.

For example: I like to read books, but suddenly I will stop reading books and virtually stop doing anything apart from eating and washing, although I have little appetite to do either at times. To combat this lack of enthusiasm to pick up a book and read I will walk down to the local shop and buy a newspaper each day until such a time that I have snapped out of this malaise. And this works for me, even though most of the time I will only read a few articles in the paper, but the point is the action of walking down to the local shop and buying and reading the newspaper usually results at some point in time the enthusiasm to start reading books again.

So, remember the mantra “there is always tomorrow” and build those strategies that can work for you.

Are you listening,  what are you dreaming?

As Jesus said, “belief is everything.”

In my latest book “It’s Never Too Late” read how dreams do come true, but be careful what you wish for. Understand the secret of greed and you will attain one of the secrets of prosperity. The book will also take you on a journey and explores love, money, luck, and much more.

The Special Event Theory ~ The Evolution of Man

The Bookshop Guru

History is constantly changing…our view of the past is constantly revised as we find new discoveries that do not quite fit what we previously believed. Essentially, the Special Event Theory argues that our intelligence and language cannot be a product of evolution. They argue that, if that is the case, then why do dolphins and whales not have the same abilities as man? They say that dolphins and whales have comparatively the same size of brains for their body mass compared to man, so why have the intelligence and language abilities of dolphins and whales not evolved during the same amount of time, in evolutionary terms? That is the essence of the theory; I hope I have done it justice because it’s a lot more complicated than how I have just explained it.

Oh, yes, I forgot the how part, which is the most revealing and somewhat unbelievable. They believe several special events must have taken place in a relatively short space of time. First: The ability to communicate. Second: The ability to think abstractly. Third: The ability to record their thoughts.

Darwin’s theory is that natural selection provides adaptation to environmental conditions that are beneficial and so over time a species evolves into a new species.

The point is time, a lot of time. Darwin’s theory suggested a long period of time, in the millions of years, and not the relatively short space of time that current archaeological discoveries suggest.

Current archaeological discoveries suggest that man started recording their thoughts on the walls of caves around 40,000 to 50,000 years ago, it also suggests man developed sophisticated tools around this time, and you could assume that language or the ability to communicate evolved also around this time. Now, you have to ask, why then? What was so special then, that all three abilities evolved at around the same time?

Click Below and Listen

You have to ask the question, was Darwin right? Now, we are all taught at school Darwin’s theory of evolution, but several things just do not add up. The Special Event Theory is plausible just as Darwin’s theory has been the accepted theory for the past one hundred years or so. It’s like the theory of physics you need another theory to explain the behavior of particles of atoms because the two do not match.

Are you listening,  what are you dreaming?

As Jesus said, “Belief is everything.”

The Million Dollar Question and Answer ( NFL Sunday Football Comic Diary) Week 11

The Bookshop Guru

The Philadelphia Eagles face Green Bay Packers in Sunday’s live match. When did you see a 6.5 point dog with a 7-2 record? But, I still fancy the Packers to win the game. The Packers are 4-0 at home this season, and I expect the conditions will play into the hands of the Packers, combined with an on fire Aaron Rodgers quarterback. The consensus is around 80% in favour with the Packers, so that probably means the bookies favourite will win the game. Who invented the spread, the bookies, and the way they see it, as a + or – 6.5 point game? So, that probably means the + 6.5 for the Eagles will not be enough to beat the Packers on the spread.  I also fancy going over on the total point line. Whatever happens, I will enjoy the game! Philadelphia Eagles 17, Green Bay Packers 38
